The real issue seems to be with Qbittorrent and remains unsolved. But as a workaround, I use “Drone Factory”. I’ve set Qbittorrent to remove the download after it finishes and then it runs a script that makes Sonarr scan the drone factory folder (and this is where I’ve set Qbittorrent download Sonarr torrents to). The torrent is what you originally download from the indexing site. The torrent is separate from the content you will ultimately be using/viewing/listening to. From here on, "files" will refer to the content while ".torrent" refers to the reference file. Renaming appended files If you have accidentally removed a unfinished torrent by using the Remove option, the torrent is removed from your download list but the downloaded data remains on the disk. In order to add the torrent file back to the client and resume download, we need to open the folder where uTorrent store all the torrent files.

When you dont tick a file for download you are telling qbt that you dont want that file. When you delete the torrent it will remove the .torrent/magnet & remove any unwanted (unticked) file parts. The files you ticked (wanted) will not be deleted unless you tick "Also delete the files on the hard disk". What you are after is something else. Sure, but the functionality in this 'request' already exists and works perfectly well. I've never tested this personally, but there is no reason that I can see where the [browser] download location could not be set as a "watch folder" and then qBT will load and subsequently delete any .torrent files there while ignoring any other file extensions in that folder.
